LEVELING BASICS:
Leveling up in Pot Farm gets you Pot Bucks and access to a larger assortment of seeds, items (structures, contraptions, protection, etc.) and quests. (To see what you unlock at each level, click those links, then click the header marked LEVEL to put the charts in level order.)
Since early 2012, there have been 1,000 levels in the game to keep us busy! In Oct 2012, 10 more were added. On Nov 21, 2012, 90 more were added taking the max to 1,100. On Mar 13, 2013, 200 more levels were added taking the max to 1,300. See the chart below to learn how much experience is needed to reach any level.
XP (experience) is what makes you level, so plant seeds that give you the best xp per hour for your level. And don't let them sit unharvested. Also, you can plant seeds with the highest xp (even if they take a long time to grow) and then use guano on them to make them ready to harvest immediately. Check my SEEDS PAGE to get all the stats.
Contraptions and awards/trophies earn you xp too! Check out the contraptions page and the awards page for details.
You also get xp from BUYING things in the store. Check out the items page to see how much xp all items offer and when they unlock. You do NOT get xp when you receive an item as a quest prize or from a mystery crate!
Visiting neighbors can give you xp. 'Brag' posts on your newsfeed can get you xp too. Check out 'Brags' and old Floyd links for details.

Every 100 levels, you'll get a quest to earn a sign showing your accomplishment. See them all on the quest page.
Who's high? I don't have everyone on my friends list, but here's what I see as of May 19, 2013. (Updated at least monthly.)
Stephanie was the first to hit 600 on 4/23/12, 700 on 7/8/12, 800 on 8/25/12, 900 on 10/5/12, 1000 on 11/9/12, 1100 on 3/1/13, and 1200 on 5/18/13. If you'd like a really high neighbor, send her a friend invite.
Congrats to Jennifer for also reaching level 1,000 on 12/3/12.
Sinsemilla was first to reach several of the original maximum levels in the game (420 on 6/4/11, 449 on 9/19/11, and 510 on 1/9/12.)
- You Get Free Pot Bucks for Leveling!
- Upon reaching each new level 2-24, you get $1 pot buck.
- Upon reaching each new level 25-49, you get $2 pot bucks.
- Upon reaching each new level 50-990, you get $3 pot bucks.
- Upon reaching each new level 991-998, you get $5 pot bucks.
- Upon reaching each new level 999-1300, you get $10 pot bucks.
- XP: How much XP it takes to REACH THE LEVEL INDICATED from the previous level.
- Pot Bucks: Number of Pot Bucks you'll receive for reaching the level indicated from the previous level.
- Total XP: How much XP it takes to reach the level indicated from the beginning of the game.
- Total Pot Bucks: Number of Pot Bucks you'll have earned in total leveling up to the level indicated.
